They Played Good Back in 1902

The Library of Congress has transcribed 129 clarinet recordings from 1902 to the late 1920s http://www.loc.gov/jukebox/search/results?q=clarinet. Not all of them highlight the clarinet, but all of them are worth listening to.

For example, Louis H. Christie played with the greatest ease, though with the odd flat open G http://www.loc.gov/jukebox/recordings/detail/id/7938.

Very interesting. Gives some perspectives on that other thread, how the clarinet will evolve within the next 75 years.
