Hello friends,

I've begun writing blog posts at http://www.rjmusicgroup.com/blog.

My goal is to present some ideas I have, on a semi-regular basis, about clarinet playing and being a professional musician. The most difficult thing to do is to come up with topics. So, if you have any ideas for me to weigh in on, please let me know!

I've been woefully absent from this forum for several years now. I'll try to rectify that. Life gets busy, as I'm sure you all know. For me, I finished my doctorate degree in January 2014, retired from the US Naval Academy Band in December 2014, and somewhere in there began teaching clarinet at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.

I hope to see you in Madrid, Spain this summer for the ICA convention, if not sooner!
