What is the preferred bass clarinet stand? WW&BW sells two, but with no photos (in catalog or on www site). Which are best?

The K&M bass clarinet/bassoon stand works pretty well. It folds and can be brought to gigs. A bit heavy, but worth it for the protection.

The Konig&Meyer that Ed mentioned is great. Heavy duty and solid. Gives you a feeling of security when the horn is on the stand. Accommodates both low Eb and low C basses.

get the heavyest one you can find. The last thing you need is for the bass to go flat. The cost to much.

I believe the K&M can be set to accommodate an alto but as I don't own an alto I don't know for sure. It looks like it could, though.

An alto clarinet will fit in the K&M stand. As does an EEb contra-alto clarinet! The K&M is also much easier to lug around than the Blayman cast-iron bass clarinet/bassoon stand I had been using previously.
