 Hello,

Were you ever able to get more information on D.H. McKenney? About all I can find out is that he was 1st clarinet at MGM, that he played a glass mouthpiece, that he never ruined a "take" and that when he retired in 1954 he never touched his clarinet again. One of my teachers, Russ Cheever, his counterpart at Fox said, "he had a sound as big as this house," and another of my teachers, who didn't like anyone he hadn't taught said, "he had a beautiful tone." Let me know if you find out anything else, such as the equipment he used.

 Thanks,

I kind of remember Don Christlieb calling him David.

I'm in touch with Michael Ken, I'll ask him about it.
