Scroll down just a little and start the player.....the sideways triangle within the picture of the hall..... Nielsen starts at 19 minutes....after intermission is another big piece for the clarinet section...Shostakovich Symphony No. 4.

I like this performance very much. Meyer' commercial recording is perfect but bland. It sounds too easy. This live performance is rougher and more interesting. I'm reminded of the first recording by Ib Erickson, raw and over-the-top, though Meyer is much more controlled.
The announcer says: "The heart of this music is a vicious fight between the keys of F and E major." Any analysis or opinions?

Nice performance, and unbelievable speed in the cadenzas!
I'm curious if she did it from memory? I heard John Yeh do this with the CSO some time ago from memory in a wonderful rendition.
