Hello All,
I am a long time reader of the board, and I love searching the board for equipment recommendations.
I recently had the opportunity to try two of Brad Behn's Vintage mouthpieces. Both were in the large chamber design, one with the tip opening of 1.18 and the other with an opening of 1.13. I have been playing a B40 lyre 13 for the good part of a year and a half now, which is why I was interested in the more open designs. So far, I have been very impressed with these new mouthpieces, and I ended up purchasing the 1.13. The sound, pitch, and response are all excellent and it is an upgrade to all of the Chedevilles I have tried throughout the years. I even had the chance to compare my new Behn with a Chedeville that my friend owns and Brad's mouthpiece was far and away more resonant, deep, and beautiful sounding. Brad was very easy to communicate with and I really respected his advice on what would suit me the best. I am really looking forward to playing with this new mouthpiece in the orchestra this season and would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a "throwback" sound to give these a try.

What about the pitch?
Did you have to use a shorter barrel?
I have found that to be true when one switches to a mouthpiece with a more concave baffle unless the maker adjust the chamber.

Pitch is great and highly flexible/easy to adjust. For B-flat, I use a 66 playing at 440 and a 65 playing at 442
