A great clarinet LP has appeard on eBay at http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1424799233. It's Ulysse Delecluse, for many years the head of the clarinet faculty at the Paris Conservatory, playing the Saint-Saens Sonata and various other French music.
He had a very unusual tone -- light, very bright and almost metallic. You have to get used to it. He was a wonderful musician and had a monster technique.
This record was put out on London as a Selmer demo and is very hard to find. I treasure my copy.
