 Viotto Mouthpieces

I was wondering if anyone has heard of this type of mouthpiece. I think they come from Europe somewhere, and they come in german and french openings. If anyone can tell me anything else about them I'd really appreciate it as I tried a french cut one and am interested in buying it.

I would say: of course, but i'm coming from the Netherlands. Nearly every professional here is playing his mouthpieces. Mostly combined with Herbert Wurlitzer Reform-Boehm or sometimes Oehler clarinets. But also the combination with Buffet Crampon /Boehm is succesfull.
The common set-up here is with a N1 +2 facing (tip opening 1.02 mm) with White Master 3 reed.
Also in Germany, Austrian and Japan are is moutpieces widely used with other facings He makes also mouthpieces - omn Zinner/Bavaria - for e-flat, bass and bassethorn.

You can see some information on www.olivacr.com.

The only model I have tried and am considering buying is the B3 model. If that means anything to you.

I remember once Greg Smith posted in this BBS about the questinable intonation problem when a mouthpiece made for German clarinets are used for French clarinets. You may better seach it(by "Viotto" for example). IMHO.
('Reformed' means key system is changed to Bohem system. The bore is not changed. The size may be very diffrent and far straighter than French ones.)

The Viotto is made for a variety of reeds, both French and German cuts, for Boehm, Boehm, Oehler, or Reform Boehm clarinets.
