Selmer series 10 clarinet

What is the difference between a Selmer 10 series clarinet and a 10G?

10G has a totally different bore to the 10 - modelled to an extent on the R13.
G stands for Gigliotti who persuaded Selmer to take up the idea after failing to get Buffet to make changes he wanted.

The Series 10 was a smaller bore clarinet (.577" or 14.6-14.65mm) offered by Selmer in the '70s alongside the Series 9 and Series 9*. It is a pro level clarinet as Selmer only offered pro level instruments at this time. The Selmer USA instruments (Bundy 577 and Signet) were based on the Series 10.

Unlike the Series 9, the Series 10 doesn't have a metal tenon cap on the top tenon nor the large hexagonal headed speaker tube which is how you can identify them from one another if they don't have the name stamped or engraved on the top joint (just the Selmer logo only which they did from time to time).
