I am very interested in performing this work by Bax which was written originally for violin viola and piano.
I understand Bax had approved a version in which the clarinet replaces the viola part, although I cannot locate this version from any publisher.
Robert Plane has recorded the piece on Naxos, and there is a good interpretation of the work on you tube.
Has any one got any ideas on how I could get the clarinet version, or even to contact Robert and ask his advice on how to approach this.
I do not have his contact details.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Get in touch with Paul Harris; the great expert on British clarinet music. His e-mail and snail- mail addresses are in the Clarinet Journal. It would be easy enough to transpose the viola part to clarinet, though. Bax is an interesting composer and thanks for the suuggestion, Andrez.
