Worst architectural design for a ligature EVER.
You can even think through it. The thick blocks that the screws go through have straight holes through them. As you open it up to accommodate the mouthpiece/reed, each of the two sides "want to" angle toward the ends of the strap now wrapped around the mouthpiece/reed (about 110 degrees apart). As you tighten this system, all the pressure is applied against the screws........and they break (because the screws start to bend upwards away from the mouthpiece).
Unfortunately this is also sorta what happens with the Periera 3D ligature (just not as aggressively bad).
This is why the "Rovner" style design of round bars is so elegant. It naturally adjusts to the angle of the stress. Here is where I appealed to a manufacturer to alter their design. Not for my convenience, but rather to avoid the stupid, self destructive architecture......to no avail.....yet.
