Hello,
I have a clarinet that i don't know much about and i was hoping someone could give me some more information. The logo on all of the joints of the clarinet say Buffet Crampon Cie A Paris, and below it it has two cursive letters that say BC and below that it says made in France. The serial number on it is 70604. I would appreciate any help.

Likely an RC not BC. This is a European tuned clarinet, usually more sharp than the R13. Can be a good clarinet-is made as well as the R13 or maybe even better ( by Buffet's reckoning). More popular in Europe as they are pitched slighlty higher, but many American player get by, either by having tunig done by a competant repairman or adjusting reed and MP choices. Or, some approach it by " they'd rather be sharp than out of tune"

The cursive 'BC' are part of the Buffet-Crampon logo and 'Made in France' is usually stamped underneath which indicates it's a French-built Buffet which will be a pro level clarinet.
The only current model Buffet clarinet which doesn't carry a separate model identification stamp on the top joint is the R13 which is their most popular model.

I've got a Buffet Eb clarinet from this year (serial no. 717xx) which I bought off eBay in a terrible state (it's a former marching band instrument which had a pretty tough life and then neglected), but I set to work on it, had all the keywork silver plated and rebuilt it from the ground up and it's a fantastic instrument.
