Hey all!
I'm a senior in high school - clarinet player of multiple years.
This year for our solo/ensemble, my fellow clarinetists and I plan on playing a quartet entitled "Celebration Suite" by Heim.
The rhythms aren't necessarily hard, it's just that four clarinets locking into each other while we are all playing semi-different rhythms seems to be quite difficult for us.
So, I was wondering, is there a recording out there of this song?
I've looked on the internet breifly and I could not find one.
Any help would be apprecaited!

If the composer is indeed Dr. Norman Heim, he was the professor of clarinet at the University of Maryland when I was an undergrad there, several centuries ago. I really liked the man (played in his clarinet choir for a few years) and always enjoyed his compositions, hope you do too! You might try contacting the University of Maryland library to see if they have recordings.

The Tokyo Clarinet Ensemble recorded this piece on their album titled The Brilliant Clarinet Ensemble 3. Good luck finding it, though.

Yes sir,
it is indeed Dr. Heim.
I defiantly enjoy this piece - thank you for your feedback.
I'll try to contact the University - I'll let you know how it works out!
