 blackmaster reeds

I know that the Blackmasters had undergone some changes recently. They were much thicker than usual. However my understanding was that they were back to their original dimensions. I do not find this to be true in the recent box that I opened. The reeds do not feel the same, especially in the shape/ length of the vamp and they sound more "reedy" . More importantly they do not sound and respond the same as my older BM. I have played BM for years and liked the sound they produced but now I think I am going to have to find another reed. How do other clarinetists that play the Blackmaster feel?
