I am currently hacking, i mean working my way through the Berio Secquenza IXa for clarient and I would like to know or even find any recordings of this piece. It's definately one that's not performed often expically here in the Kansas City area. I'm not looking for a quick find for some emergency. I'd just like to get some other viewpoints on this piece.
Also. I'm working on the Elliot Carter Pastorale for A clarient and Piano, and am interested in a recording of that.
If I could possibly also have a place to possibly order the recording that would be great too, along with the reccomendation.
thanks
Aaron

I have a recording with Alain Damiens that I like. Alain is clarinetist with Pierre Boulez Ensemble Intercontemporain. You can find information about it on the Discography section here on Sneezy, together with another recording with Paul Meyer.

I have a very good Australian recording by Sydney Clarinetist, Peter Jenkin.
The label is the Tall Poppies label. I'm sure it's not too hard to find, and the CD would really be worth the effort.

Hi Aaron
i'm working on the sequenza for my final recital here in England. The recording that i have got is the Paul Meyer one, this I find is the best. Can you do the multiphonics printed in the part if so could you please enlighten me as I have to use alternatives which don't really sound right. I was told you needed a full boehm system instrument to excecute the fingerings printed. Is this true? Hope they enjoy it over in the States best of luck.
