Hello -
I found a Couesnon clarinet in a closet that I had no idea was there. It looks as if the serial number stamped on one of the pieces is 5959, which can't be possible since I haven't seen a number that low on any board. Also, none of the more elaborate ensignias are on it, just the name and the number on the back. Anyone know what model it is? Would it be worth restoring? It seems at least one of the pads is a little loose.
TIA,
wellsnet

This should help answer your questions. I think they are still in business, maybe under another name.

Couesnon is still in business, but only making brass instruments now, no longer any woodwinds.
