 Beethoven "Romance in F"
Author: runner

My high school senior student is worried that many of the other players in her band are preparing the "Romance in F" by Beethoven. I know it was originally written for violin. I have heard an alto sax student play it at high school solo ,ensemble contest.
She is worried that she is preparing "Scene and Air" by Bergson. She plays it musically, but wants to try the Beethoven
I reserved a copy of the music from the store I teach at.

Ques. : Should she stick with the Bergson, or try the Beethoven. She feels that if everyone does the Romance, she might impress the band director because she was different. Comments please.

It doesn't matter what she plays, as long as she plays it well.

I agree. Play it well. Make it sound good.
I still can't find a clarinetist performing "Romance" on You Tube.
