Hello!
I start to work on my master's thesis. It`s theme is differences in interpretation of 2nd Concerto of L. Spohr in main clarinet schools.
(Hope, translation is true)
I need your advices, maby articles and links to analyze and to find something new.
If someone can helps me, it would be greateful!

You should be familiar with all recordings available. Just to starting out, listen to Leister's and Ottensamer's recording and compare it to the score. Measure the tempo, watch out for articulation differencies. There are also rhytmic deviations from the score at some point!

I agree with Mark. In the early 1980s, when I was working on my masters degree, I had a major assignment for a music lit. class (not a thesis) in which I wrote about Weber's clarinet music. My professor suggested devoting a section to various interpretations of the first concerto. Following Mark's approach, I listened first to Gervase de Peyer's recording, my favorite at the time. I also listened to recordings made by Benny Goodman, Jacques Lancelot, and James Campbell (and possibly others). It turned out to be quite an interesting project. If you follow the same approach with Spohr's concerto, I think you will also come up with a lot of great material for your thesis. Good luck!
