Thanks for the compliment, Eric:) Program notes is a good idea, but to be honest I haven't found much information about this piece at all, except for the fact that Donatoni composed it in 1980.. It would be great if anyone with more knowledge about this piece would like to share it here on the bboard:)
Tony, thanks for the advice, I agree that I'm not being rythmically precise in some parts of this piece. I hoped no one would notice! Just kidding;) I will definitely look into it.

It's just that in solo pieces, it's often useful to make the distinction between passages that are recognisably rhythmically organised to the listener and passages that are more free.
There's a tendency for a player to think that, because there's no audible framework against which you're measured, you can be freer all the time. But that makes everything sound more or less the same -- which is worth avoiding.
