I've been looking around for any information at all on the composer and the work, but I've found nothing in print. When I recorded this work, I felt awkward not even being about to reference the composer's first name, dates, or the date of the composition, like I could the other pieces on the disc.
I know that there were a few LP record recordings of the work, which have since fallen out of print, which refer to the piece as a "work found on many contest music lists." But other than that, I've found nothing. Even the music librarians I've consulted with, haven't turn up anything.
If you know about the work, please post it. Granted, this is just a 4 minute work and won't change the clarinet-world with a great find of information, but it would be good to know about this composer, if s/he has other works out, and about this particular piece.
Thanks,
Chris

I recently added a sound sample of the Quet, for those interested to hear.
Check out:

Also, I have posted other sound samples from the Contemplations CD.
