I've recently begun to play alto sax after a few years on clarinet and I'm finding Sigurd Rascher's Top-Tones for the Saxophone to be quite a helpful book. It made me wonder if there was a book of overtone exercises for clarinet that was similar. Can anyone help me on this query, please?

This is an interesting topic, and I haven't seen it discussed very often.
Larry Teal also discusses playing sax overtones in "The Art of Saxophone Playing," but Rascher's book probably covers it in more depth. I remember seeing Michele Gingras demonstrate clarinet overtones in one of her podcasts on itunes, but I wasn't able to quickly find the link. Here's something else that you can try. Play an open G, and then squeak up a 12th to a high D. Try going up using the A-flat and A keys, and then going down from the D using the regular fingerings without the register key. This can be a great warm-up, and I really think it helps to improve tone quality in the upper clarion and lower altissimo registers.

I'm not sure what you mean by this.

I have a pamphlet that sets out Joe Allard's exercises for intonation on saxophone and that has some exercises for clarinet but I still haven't found a clarinet book that addresses these issues specifically. Maybe it just isn't felt to be an issues for clarinet. On a personal level, I certainly find it easier to produce a decent tone on a clarinet rather than an alto sax. Sax seems to have very wayward tones and so books like Rascher's are probably more essential over there.
This is just curiosity on my part, really. I am always happy to find exercises to improve intonation but that is more critical for me with the alto than with the clarinet at present.

That is one very out of tune D. That D "fingering" is quite useful in 2 ares of the Mozart.
