Recently I've been preparing a solo piece for a competition in a month, and today just was suggested to audition for the Tanglewood's high school summer program. I would audition for the clarinet workshop..
Has anyone had any experience with this?
Also do you think it's a good idea for me to audition considering I will have only 6 days to prepare D:

I was at the workshop two years ago; I would say that it was a worthwhile experience for me. Ethan Sloane runs it in an extended masterclass format, where he works individually with students, then addresses large concepts in which everyone can benefit.
I have to say, however, that I enjoyed the wind ensemble portion of my BUTI stay more, therefore I would recommend that you try for that as well (if you can). Either way, you will probably meet some awesome people.
