 Growling

How does one growl on clarinet?

I've read of different ways of growling, such as humming while playing, leaking air out of the sides of the embouchure, and actually growling while playing. I assume that each of these methods produce different sounds, so I'm not looking for a "correct" way to growl, I'm asking for advice on any method(s) of growling. Any help would be much appreciated.

I hum to growl. But if you change pitch that you're humming, you can change the effect of the growl. To the point where if you are humming almost the SAME pitch, it almost dissappears. Could be a cool effect to fade in and out the growl.
