Hey guys, I know you must be tired of this kind of messages, but I have been looking for a Selmer Paris albert clarinet for a long time now... almost 30 years now and I haven't got any break.
I want a Bb Selmer Albert. The later the better, the more rings the better. Ideally no cracks or pins or flushbands... I can live with having to overhaul it, as a matter of fact if it needs overhaul I'll pay as if it were in tip top shape anyway, since I'd prefer to work on it myself.
I know I will have to dish out major cash. If you have one, please contact me.

I have seen Selmer Paris Albert clarinets come up for sale on Ebay maybe a couple of times a year. Keep searching the listings regularly and you'll find one.
Is there any particular reason why you want a Selmer over any other brand of Albert clarinet? If you just want a high quality albert system clarinet you might have better luck looking at a brand like Penzel-Mueller. Their albert clarinets were considered among the best and were played by a number of the great New Orleans musicians including George Lewis. More importantly, there are probably at least a half dozen Penzel-Mueller albert clarinets for sale on Ebay in any given week so you could probably find a suitable one very easily.

Hey Steve
Thanks for the reply. I canvas eBay regulary since '98... I guess I'm SOL ;-)
I have a Fischer, a Gunkel, a couple of Penzels... they're nice clarinets, but I do want a Selmer Albert. They are nothing like the others. Scale, keywork, tone hole spread... and the tone!
