Hi to everyone. I have been studying clarinet since 1997 and now I'm studying Introduction, Theme and Varations by Weber. I think that it's the best thing I've ever played, but I'm afraid that I can't play it very well....have you have any advice for me?
Thanks. Elisa

you have to study difficult passages very slow at the beginning, and then practice, practice and practice. You can begin setting your metronome at half speed, and little by little, put it faster. When you arrive to the "normal" speed, try to relax yourself, your embochure and fingers.
Is a very colourful and virtuosistic piece.
good clarineting

hello i took that piece to contest last year and it is awesome. watch for squeaks in the fast part var 3 or 4 i think with all the 32nd notes it can be tough to go between the two registers so fast but just practice hard and have fun with it
