Just a quick question here...
How many of you have tried using their Playeasy with normal cane reeds?
I'm in contact with Pilgerstorfer and they gave me an impression that the Playeasy series were meant for synthetic reeds. Mentioning that their reeds don't match with the mouthpieces.

I found Dolce actually works very well with Playeasy B2.

I am not a PlayEasy player, but I AM a Nick/Legere reed user and I find the Nick/Legere reeds work GREAT on standard Boehm mouthpieces. I would just say that there is more hype in the distinction than anything.
If you notice, NO ONE offers any justification in the form of dimensions or material, or anything concrete other than that general, unsupported, blanket statement.

There are no Légère/Nick reeds anymore because they do not collaborate with each other. However, Playnick is going to release their own synthetic reeds in September.Paul Aviles wrote:

Hmmm....... I missed that political news.
Explains why the four new German cuts I received from Legere don't have the Nick moniker on them. Of course the added confusing part was that they were in the old (at least for awhile) plastic containers rather than the cardboard and cellophane ones. I assumed them to be new old stock.
Of course making the reeds work is the tricky part. I wish Kuckmeier well in his endeavors but will wait to see some positive reviews before delving into ANOTHER brand of reed.

Hi,
i own 3 mouthpieces from Kuckmeier:
D2
D3
N1
I am having a very difficult time finding any reed for the D2 and D3. Very stuffy and hard.
However, the N1 plays fantastic with either Legeres or Cane reeds. I received a box of Pilgerstorfer reeds and they all play very clearly. I found that Leuthners also played well. White masters played "chirpy" across the break.

@Paul
That I agree to a certain extent. Maybe some MPs will work better naturally with certain configurations but I don't think that there is "the only one" for any given particular MPs. If that's the case, VanD Mps would only be for VanD reeds at the bare least.
