Surprise, surprise . . . When I arrived for my lesson last Friday, my teacher had a brand new Buffet Limite Bb clarinet in hand for a trial and I got to try it too. So my (our) impressions are: Keywork. Very similar if not identical to an R13 . . . I could not see any obvious differences. Sound/Tone (with my own mp & reed). Seemed "brighter" than my R13 and my teacher's experience agreed with this observation. Intonation. Instrument was delivered with a 65 mm barrel and played sharp unless "pulled out" a bit. It probably needs a 66 mm barrel. The 12ths that we checked with a tuner appeared to be right on. Price Point. I understand that this instrument is lower priced than current R13's but have no idea how much.
My comments FWIW . . . I am an senior citizen amatuer with about 10 years of lessons behind me. Any questions, or other experience?

The Limité was discussed at http://test.woodwind.org/oboe/BBoard/read.html?f=1&i=260614&t=260614. The consensus was that it was a step below the R13.
Everything depends on how that particular instrument tunes and plays for you.
A handmade barrel can make a big difference in both intonation and tone. Rather than ordering a standard Buffet barrel, I'd advise going to one of the custom barrel makers.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Limite just a rebadged E-13?
