Mark--
I suggest that somewhere on Sneezy you add:
(1) an article on methods for playing the glissando at the beginning of Rhapsody in Blue. It could be written by one of the experts and could include various approaches and a little history. You might even include a link to a WAV file of the glissando.
(2) Ken Shaw's instructions for tying a string ligature. Illustrations could even be added, although the instructions are probably well-enough written that they don't require any.
Then, whenever questions on these topics come up, the questioner could be referred to them. Or, they might even prevent the need to ask a question.
If either of these is already included here, I apologize for not searching for them first.

I wonder if there is some way to also put in a reference to Larry Guy's book without going into the commercial ensorsement zone. Perhaps an article on breaking in reeds with some excerpts with a reference at the end?

Roger Garrett has a free reference in here, somewhere with similar details about reed break in and adjustment.
The LG book is more inclusive, for only $15! Alot of effort went into that book, and it is well worth the money.
