Will the standard Buffet Low C bass case fit in the overhead of one of these planes? I haven't had any problems flying with my bass before but am always worried until I get on board.

It might just squeeze in, but it's almost a sure bet they'll want you to gate check it since the space on those planes is so tight. Beg early to allow it on the plane. A standard sized carryon WILL NOT fit in the overhead.
I fly a 145 weekly ... make sure you're sitting in an 'A' seat! (there are 3 seats across, the 'A' seat is all by itself - I have had some "unfortunate" experiences in the other two seats that are next to each other and very narrowly spaced ...)

The best thing to do is not bring it to anyones attention. Just carry it over your shoulder or on your back and just walk in like it's not a problem. I don't know of anyone that has had a problem when they don't make a thing of it. Try to get on the plane as early as you can to find space. ESP http://eddiesclarinet.com

Ed - have you ever flown a 145? Doesn't sound like it. It's not the bass, it's the space.
