Hi, fellow clarinetists,
The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music supports a clarinet choir, formatted as an adult class. It is led by Rena Kraut, a wonderful teacher and professional clarinetist. I joined this group two years ago, and have been enjoying it immensely. We call ourselves Burble and Squeak (I provide the bass and contrabass burble), and play a wide variety of music -- Bach, Goodwin, Mozart, Moussorgsky, Brubeck, Offenbach, Khachaturian. Our performances are largely Conservatory adult recitals, with a sprinkling of public gigs.
We rehearse Monday early evenings, at the Conservatory in downtown St. Paul. The auditions are grueling -- just show up with a clarinet and a love of music. We learn an awful lot about ensemble playing, and have tons of fun.
If you are interested and available, our next semester starts in January. Click here for details, or e-mail me at deep.burble@yahoo.com. C'mon down and make music with us!
