I recently bought a Guy Renne clarinet for a small price Its a Couesnon hard rubber, and had it checked out. It has rust problems that would require some posts to be cut and replaced as well as full padding and cork replacement. It appears to be from 1920's or 30's.
Does anyone know anything about these clarinets and do you think it is worth reparing? What would the worth of the clarinet be after being repaired?

Which part of your clarinet is marked "Guy Renne" and which is/are marked "Couesnon"? As far as I know they are not the same company.

Sorry, but wether it's a Guy Renne or a Couesnon hard rubber, its probably worth under $50 if in fairly good condition, which yours is not. It would cost somewhere in the $300 neighborhood to do the work you describe, so the numbers don't add up well, unless its of real sentimental value for some reason.
