Found a box of old clarinet stuff which had a few mouthpieces in them.
I know the mouthpieces are at least fifty years old.
One has "C3" stenciled on the side of the table. I know Rico currently makes a C3 mouthpiece, but again this is very old. Any ideas?
One has only a "C" on the side of the table.
One says "made in Italy", and it is written upside down. There are no other markings. I know of Pomarico, but are there any other Italian mouthpiece makers?
Found another one that has an "M" at the bottom, and on the other side it says "france". I know of the Vandoren M series, but this mouthpiece was around long before that.
They all are made of rubber.

This mouthpiece could be Chedeville or Riffault. The picture with the visible "France" writing would help to identify this mouthpiece. "M" stands for "medium' (facing).

All mouthpieces in the third picture are Chedeville/Lelandais blanks. The first one is approximately from the 30's. The second one is Lelandais/Chedeville 30's - 40's. Third - QS type from the 50's. The forth is from the 50's - 70's. The puzzle is the first mouthpiece. You said it's a Riffault. Is there any Riffault marking on it? I used to own many Riffault mouthpieces "with three lines down". None of them had the "France" on the side. The "France" appeared on the body as part of the Riffault logo.

Vytas-
I ASSUME that the first one is a Riffault, because it says "STEELITE EBONITE" on the mouthpiece. I thought that Riffault used the Steelite Ebonite logo.
The words steelite ebonite appear on the back of the mouthpiece, at the very bottom near the tenon. It also has a #5 on the front, on the opposite side of where it says France. If you would like, I can take some pictures, but I have to wait for my wife to do that.
Can you tell me anything about the other mouthpieces in picture two?
The first one is also in the third picture, which you said is a Chedeville blank. Anything about the one marked "C3", C, or the "made in Italy" mouthpiece.
Thanks very much for your help.

The mouthpiece in the picture (previous post) actually is Riffault, France, "Steelite Ebonite". As you can see there is no "France" marking on the side, only bellow the logo. It doesn't mean that Riffault never used the "France" marking on the side. They did,,, but this marking is "completely different" from the Lelandais/Chedeville marking. I'm preaty sure this is the Lelandais/Chedeville mouthpiece blank used by Reffault.
