My school's marching band just found out that we are going to be in the Inaugural Parade in Washington!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!

That's exactly right. No political comments. None. I already was pretty blunt about it. There's too nmany bad feelings going around right now that even jokes get out of hand quickly.
Let's just be happy that Amanda gets to play in such an important event.

As a freshman in high school, I marched in the the Governor's inauguration parade here in Virginia. Very proud moment.
It was so enjoyable that I asked my band director if he thought they'd invite us back the next year...
(I guess that's why we take a year of goverment classes)
