also welcome comments from other folks here

on a recent dicussion thread, I read your(hiroshi's) comments on the gap of the register key. you commented that cork pad shld be used for the register key and that the cork pad shld be inverted cone shape??(I cannot remember the exact description and where is the exact thread)
would you elaborate more on this. thanx in advance

recently, I have reduce the gap between the vent hole and the register pad to slightly more than 1mm. wow, it drastically improve my left hand clarion notes (G to C)

No.I learned that fact from Tom Ridenour's fingering book and also in this BBS (perhaps a UK gentleman).Absolutely not my originarity.Maybe every professinal does know the fact!

reverse cone shape towards the centre of the pad?
as in a "crater" or a "mountain" shape?
