Lea Steffens would be my first choice near Irvine (Tustin). I took lessons from her a few years back; great teacher, students from middle school to college level, reasonable rates. I'm out of touch, don't know her current situation or contact info, but worth checking to see if she's available.
Looks like she teaches at Chapman now: http://www.chapman.edu/music/faculty/PT/steffens.asp You could start there, though sometimes people don't check college contacts too often, especially during summer. The music department could probably tell you if she's taking students and/or give summer contact info.
I'm still borderline-in-touch with a bunch of people who I think are in the area, but would have to ask around to see who's giving lessons these days. I think Margaret Thornhill teaches at Concordia, though I don't know if she takes outside students in the area as she's based in L.A.
