Dear clarinet friends,
I've recently purchased a mouthpiece crafted by Ramon Wodkowski, during his recent visit in Israel, which I highly recommend. It's a model based on Martin Frost's mpc which is made on a Zinner blank, and has an open tip and long facing.
The mpc is highly responsive, and is great in tune. The sound is very nice and flexible: it is centered, sonorous and dark at the same time.
As for suitable reeds-I'd recommend Vandoren V12 3 1/2- 3 1/2 + or traditional 3-3 1/2.
Ramon should be visiting Israel again in May, and I recommend all of you who haven't done it already to contact him and either try his mouthpieces or have him adjust yours.
visit his website: www.ramonwodkowski.com
Enjoy!

It is taking him a long time to put things up on his website. Been waiting for something there for about a year now. Then again I would like to try his mouthpieces but when the Icelandic krona is so week against almost all currencies
it's not a possibility for me. I think I have to wait for at least 2-3 years more for things to change here in Iceland.

I've checked the website time and time again as well. Although I'm good to go clarinetfest this year, and hopefully he'll have a stand set up. I'll be trying them out there and look forward to having a mouthpiece custom made to ME. Nothing wrong with my current mouthpiece, as it's amazing, but I definitely have an addiction and love trying out new ones.
