My best friend recently obtained two silver plated clarinets, one of which, she gave me. These were being thrown out at a local community college. My clarinet (and her's too, it's identical) has silk pads and is made by Cavalier in Elkhart, IN. I have never seen this brand before in my life. (I'm not old, granted) It is missing a mouthpiece, but is in superb condition, although needing some repadding, I played it at church this morning and had a great time with it. (I used my own mouthpiece.) It is all in one piece and the barrel fits a larger mouthpiece then the modern one. (I use a bit of paper)
I am not wishing to sell it, etc, but I would like to know if any of the curators, etc have any info on the clarinet, where it was made, how old it is, etc. We are all curious here at my home and at church, where I play clarinet. Can someone there give me any information whatsoever?
Thank You,
Naomi
