 Evette Serial # help

Hi everyone,

My school owns an old looking Evette clarinet. The logo is the oval shaped logo which reads "Evette, sponsored by Buffet, Paris France". The serial number is C1xxx (the entire number obscured for reasons of unsubstantiated paranoia). Your help in identifying the year of manufacture and the approximate value of this instrument (assuming adequate repairs) would be most appreciated.
