Hi,
Anyone know a reliable and reasonably priced software that can convert midi files into Bb or A clarinet sheet music? It has been quite tedious to convert my favourite anime themes from piano into Bb clarinet by hand.
thanks

I use MidiIllustrator Maestro.
Download the MIDI file, open it in the software and you have an editable, notated, score. You can easily transpose with the software - for example I downloaded a MIDI file of Bach Cello Suites, opened in the software and transposed for my bass clari.
I think you can download a trial version which opens the MIDI for 30 days, but the trial version will not transpose.
You can print the score directly from the software, but I tend to use cutePDF software (freeware) to "print" to create a pdf of the pages.
An alternative is to use other software I have called Smartscore X MIDI. With this you can scan a score (as long as it is a good quality print, not hand written) and it will recognise the notation and create a notation file. Being a cheapscate, this version will not allow transposition, but I can save the score as a MIDI file. I then open the MIDI file in the first software and I can edit it easily.

Older versions of Finale Notepad will work. I think before 2008 (or 2007) they are free.

I just saw this request so am a bit late. I`ve tried a lot and I think the very best is Notation Musician. There is 30 day trial to start with and on buying it only costs $38 US. I use it to change the downloaded midi to B flat clarinet and then to whatever key I`ld prefer the music in. If you are playing along to the music, as I am, then you can adjust the tempo up or down. There are various ways to view the score, such as the Conductor`s, Singing, Bass part only, or my preference the "Fake score" part. Print it if you want to. There are other functions Notation can perform.
