In recent posts I reported about a clarinet repair manual, and a video tape. This generated some discussion about hands-on training.

Several years ago I attended the Landell flute padding seminar. This seminar provided one week of instruction, and hands-on experience in flute tune-up and padding. This was my perfect vacation this particular year. I enjoyed the course, and the beauty of rural Vermont. Some info is available on the following web page.

It would be nice if this type of training was available for the clarinet. I would be very interested in such a course, but for me location would be a factor. I hate to travel, but I might make an exception in this case.
