What is the name of the mic system that Eddie daniels uses when he performs? Two mics together.
Thanks

AMT WS is the name of the mic system. I have it and it is great for live performances (though I wouldn't use it for classical stuff). I use it when playing jazz and fusion. it gives a very round and full sound, and what makes it perfect when playing with a band on stage (besides the fact that you can move around freely) is that it doesn't pick up any sound from the other instruments nor does it interfere with the other microphones on stage, so you have total control over your own sound/volume.
one warning though, you won't get a 100% natural clarinet sound with this mic system. the use of 2 microphones means you have to experiment with their respective placements, and it's pretty difficult to make the tone and volume even over the whole register.
overall I'm very happy with it, and for the purpose I haven't found anything that works better

I find a single AKG 419 mounted on a custom mounting bracket to sound superior to the AMT system. Coupled to a zebra wood backun bell, that brings up the sounds below the mic mount, and balances the clarinet with the mic on it weight wise. I didn't like the AMT, because I couldn't switch it to other instruments, and I couldn't put the clarinet on a stand due to the bell mic and the floor wedge monitor feedback.
Those of you that attended the Vancouver Clarfest had a chance to hear my AKG rig up against the AMT and many people said they thought the akg had a warmer sound.
