What are your favorite ligatures on bass clarinet?
 Be specific, please!
 Thanks.

Winslow. But if I did not have one, I would most likely use a Vandoran Optimum, parallel rail insert.

Mitchell Lurie, two horizontal bands hold the reed. Using the method attributed to Kell via Goodman, this can be approximated by rotating a standard lig 90 degrees. Just try it ! Anyone for Bonades or Gigliotties ?? Like them for sop or alto cls. Don

I've converted to Van Doren Optimums for all of my clarinets. Am really pleased with the sound on al too. Previously I had used Rovners, but these were clearly better for me.

I also use Vandoren Optimum for all my clarinets from Eb to Bass. I've switched from the parallel rail insert to the one with the horizontal ridges because I think it is better at making sure the back of the reed is flat against the table. For the bass I cemented strips of cork to the back bands to let the ligature ride higher on the mouthpiece, letting it clamp just below the window.

The Rovner with two metal rails on the reed side. Mine is a custom material that he was experimenting with but decided not to use for production but I love it, it's white material. It's the same as the regular black design with the two heavy metal bars in the front, the part on the reed. The material sits around the mouthpiece. I used the regular material one until he made this one for me to try. ESP http://eddiesclarinet.com
