I just received Larry Frank's Clarinet Repair Manual. It has instructions, with pictures, for overhauling a clarinet. Now all I need is nice clarinet to work on.
How did I get it. He's selling them on eBay. He has several of them up at a time, and you should be able to get it for $14.50 which includes shipping in the U.S. Search eBay for "clarinet repair manual". He doesn't wait for personal checks to clear.

Check eBay again and get your self a nice clunker. If you get one that real old and been in storage too long, it may have some frozen screws. These can get frustrating if your tools are limited. I'd go for a later model Bundy or Vito for a first "victim". Just make sure its not broken anywhere and all the keys are there. It'll make a good back-up horn when you're finnished.

Bill,
I also have Larry Frank's repair manual. It has been very helpful. I picked up a Vito from Ebay for about $35.00. It only needed a few new pads to get it in shape. This was very easy to do, using the manual. I also was able to adjust some of the keys so it plays in tune.

You guys are "ruining the neighborhood". The price has jumped twice since this post, and two of them are "US", as Pogo would say.
