Does anyone know anything about a Buffet bass clarinet mouthpiece labelled "Classique M"? Is it considered decent?
Thanks!

I'm not sure about the specific model you speak of, but having just tried about 2 dozen moutpieces I can safely say that everything I tried at Howarths was much better then the two Buffets I tried! I would suggest trying a few different brands to compare. I was very impressed the Lomax, Grabner and Fobes mouthpieces, but the feel of the Bay's were just right for me!

Thanks for the tip. I picked one up for next to nothing but haven't had a chance to try it yet. As I improve (I have only been playing bass for a few months), I'll keep Howarth's in mind!

I have a Buffet Classique M (medium tip) and I use it all the time. It's always best to play other pieces and compare but I have been very happy with my piece for years. They were all made in France, I never did like the Bb clarinet or the alto clarinet ones but the alto sax piece was terrific and I really like my bass clarinet piece.
Good luck!
