Hello again!
This isn't directly clarinet related, but...
I'm using SmartMusic 11 and have some questions.
When using a microphone for the intelligent accompaniment, can I use any computer microphone, like one I can go pick up at an electronics store?
When setting tempos, there are two different options; One is "Remember Tempos" and the other is "Set Tempos."
When listening to the accompaniment, how do I turn off the intelligent accompaniment? I press the on/off button but it brings up a window that doesn't help.
I'm trying to put together the accompaniment for the Debussy Premiere Rhapsody, which I'm sure you know is a difficult piece to get clarinet and piano to match. I'm also working with a couple other accompaniments.

Hi Ryder,
Any microphone will work that will work. I do suggest that my students use the smartmusic mic, but one of my students came with his laptop and his built in mic did just fine.
Intelligent Accompaniment: That's the big bar at the bottom middle of the smartmusic player.
Click Set
In the middle of the window are all the spots where you have tempo variation.
The right hand column ("Tendency") is where you set the accompaniment.
Set them all to a low number (1, 2, or 3) so that you have to follow the accompanist.
That should solve your problem.

I had problems with the smart music mic. I ended up upgrading to a Samson C01U USB Studio Condenser. The difference in the quality of recordings has really made a difference for me.
