Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me the age of my Selmer Paris Low C bass clarinet. I bought it a couple years ago used, and I was told it was about 10 years old then, but I wanted to find some more specific information. I checked the serial number list here, and I checked the Selmer site and I couldn't find anything.
The serial number is C8787
I know that periodicly Selmer will change their basses a bit and change the model number. Does anyone have any idea what the model would be for this instrument?
Many thanks!

good luck

Dawn - According to my ser # date list, which also is on sneezy "Equipment , How old is My", your BC was made in the time range of 1981-5, I would interpolate it as 1983. I have a W series Sel BC , which matches the serial no.- date listing, apparent for all Sel Paris clarinets. A very good horn. Don

Thanks very much! I had looked at the "how old is my..." section, but was having trouble interpreting it.
