 Heimer or Bestler Clarinet?

Anyone ever heard of these or know anything about these brands ?

There was a thread on Bester a bit back: http://www.sneezy.org/clarinet/BBoard/read.html?f=1&i=9952&t=9952. If the Heimer is of the same ilk (a new, unknown brand) then bring a professional teacher along to examine it. Many so-called bargains are anything but ...

If I am not mistaken, Bessler is noted for brass instruments, particularly tubas.

I just donated a Heimer flute to a 7th grader and it is Chineese made. Looks just like a Bundy II. I used to have an old Bestler clarinet a few years ago and I believe it was a French stincil. Played pretty good too. I do think there are some new ones being marketed now but I don;t think it is the same company. I've heard these are from China, but can't confirm this.
