i've got a set of RC-79 as my main horns and yesterday i send them away for some adjustments.
so i picked out my spare Bb from the closet, a RC-94 and started to practice.
now i notice that on this horn i "slip" of the reg key every now and then, which never happend on the other one. so my question is, have there been a change of the reg key between those two manufacturingdates?
(i know it may very well be me, or a later adjustment from a previous owner. but i thought i ask anyway)

Is your spare Bb nickel plated and your main ones silver plated?

"F" in Buffet serial number indicates "French" pitch --or A = 442 Hz. It could be that the instrument is the same as one without the "F" prefix to the serial number. BUT, it may have small changes in tone hole placement and bore configuration.
Nothing in the "F" to change the register key spatula.
