Jean Cartier Professional Clarinet?

Author: Eva F.  Date:   2008-11-16 00:14 I own a fairly old Jean Cartier clarinet, a hand-me-down from my mom, who bought it second hand. I can find out nothing about it, except that it is probably a stencil brand. i would love to hear any responses that can shed light on this. i have played on it since the sixth grade (currently in 8th), and it is a beautiful instrument. nice rich tone, pretty wood, overall good clarinet. does anyone know anything about this specific brand? I really didn't find out very much, except some very good arguments in favor of my clarinet being a stencil brand. i was kinda hoping that it had been made bu some obscure, little-known, interesting clarinet maker, but oh well. it plays wonderfully, so i'm happy!
