Author: clarnibass  Date:   2008-10-20 06:04 I don't know for sure and don't a list with that number, but I do know that a 38xxx bass was made in 2004 (bought new in 2004, hard to believe it was made before), and a 27xxx bass was around 1994. So I think a pretty good guess is end of 90s, 1999 maybe, I guess... But, someone just brought me a Buffet Prestige bass with serial number 84xxx and I might be able to find out when it was bought new (so probably made same year), which is probably about a year after yours.
